With her accordion, voice and electronic effects, Lea Gasser creates multi-layered soundscapes in her solo project. The accordionist and composer combines elements of contemporary chamber music, jazz and improvised sound exploration.

The solo programme includes her own compositions and improvised sequences. The music is multi-layered, dynamic and varied, ranging from delicate, restrained passages to powerful, expressive moments. The audience is drawn directly into the musical processes, which appear both structured and spontaneous.

The electroacoustic project demonstrates Lea’s ability to combine the expressive possibilities of the accordion, voice and electronics into a unique sonic cosmos. Surprising and nuanced soundscapes emerge from harmonically complex structures, subtle jazz influences and electronic textures – a soundtrack for daydreams and nocturnal journeys of the mind.
